The catalytic converter and X-Pipe replacement kit for Triumph Classic by Triumph was developed for Triumph motorcycle owners looking to improve the sound of their exhaust while reducing the weight of their motorcycle.

Removing the catalyst offers two main benefits. First of all, it allows you to get an exhaust sound deeper and richer, without being excessively noisy, but rather reinforced in the low frequencies. Secondly, it allows reduce the weight of the motorcycle, a feature appreciated by anyone who has ever handled the heavy original catalyst.

Previously, removing the catalyst involved cutting and welding the exhaust pipe, but with the advent of the X-pipe the process became modular.

Simply remove the entire catalyst and midpipe assembly and mount the X-pipe in the original locations. This greatly reduces labor costs or purchasing an overpriced exhaust.

You can thus keep the original silencer, and therefore its approval. It is also recommended to use a gasket during installation to prevent air leaks, and it is advisable to pair it with a high flow air filter like KN or BMC for best results.
