How to install a Zbar handlebar?

Here are the general steps to install a Z-bar handlebar on your motorcycle:

    1. Disconnect the battery :

      • To avoid any risk of electrical short circuit, disconnect the battery from your motorcycle.
    2. Remove existing items :

      • Remove the mirrors, brake and clutch levers, and any other items attached to the original handlebars.
      • Carefully mark the location of the cables and fixings for later reassembly.
    3. Loosen the upper triple clamp bolts :

      • Do not remove the bolts completely, but make sure they are loose enough to allow removal of the stock handlebar.
    4. Carefully slide the stock handlebars out of the triple clamp tubes :

      • Be careful not to damage cables or connections.
    5. Position the new Z-bar handlebar :

      • Install the new handlebar making sure it is aligned and centered.
    6. Reinstall the upper triple clamp bolts :

      • Tighten the bolts to the torque specified in your motorcycle's manual.
    7. Reposition the elements :

      • Replace the brake and clutch levers, mirrors and any other items on the new handlebars.
    8. Connect cables and controls :

      • Follow the handlebar manufacturer's instructions for connecting cables and controls.
      • Make sure the cables are not pinched or overstretched.
    9. Reconnect the battery :

      • Once everything is in place, reconnect your motorcycle's battery.
    10. Check operation :

      • Test the operation of the brakes, clutch and accelerator.
      • Make sure everything is working properly and the handlebars are secure.

    Additional Tips :

    • Take photos of the cable connections before disassembling them to help you during reassembly.
    • Use assembly grease on the contact points between the handlebars and the triple clamp tubes.
    • If you are not comfortable performing the installation yourself, it is strongly recommended that you hire a qualified mechanic.
