How to install a drag bar handlebar?

    • Preparation : Make sure you have all the necessary tools, including a hex wrench, socket wrench, possibly screwdrivers depending on the motorcycle model, and a motorcycle stand if necessary.
    • Removing the previous handlebar : This involves removing accessories such as grips, commodos, mirrors and side mirrors that are mounted on the current handlebars. After that, unscrew the clamping bolts at the saddles. Carefully remove the previous handlebar from the motorcycle.
    • Installing the new handlebars : Place the new drag bar handlebars in the saddles. Make sure it matches your driving preferences. To secure it in place, use the clamp bolts that are included in the new handlebar. To avoid any imbalance, tighten them in a balanced manner.
    • Reinstalling accessories: This involves returning the handles, commodos and mirrors to their new position on the handlebars. Make sure everything is secure and properly aligned.
    • Adjustments : Once everything is installed, take the time to check that the handlebars are secure and that there is no excessive play. Also make sure the controls and steering are still functional.
    • Test : Do a low speed test in a safe location before riding to ensure the handlebars are comfortable and the motorcycle performs as expected with the new handlebars.

It is advisable to seek help from a mechanic or specialist motorcycle workshop if you are unsure whether you can carry out this installation yourself.
