    BOBBER BOBBER

    Bobber Bobber's characteristics control list

    The rigid framework

THE rigid framework, called hardship on the other side of the Atlantic, is a differentiating element of a bobber bobber Compared to a traditional motorcycle.

A rigid framework is in fact, a frame made in a single part. There is no removable part that is called an oscillating arm to hold the rear wheel.

We often find this kind of frame on bikes.

    Rigid frame triumph

This type of frame was common on motorcycles of the 1930s, before the rear suspensions arrived. An example is the Triumph 6/1 from 1933 to 1935. This frame does not have a rear suspension; Rather, damping comes from the saddle (with springs) and wheels/tires.

    Bobber frame difference

Here is a comparison between a suspended frame of the VF750FD (left) and a rigid frame of Harley 125 (right). The different elements are noted in red between these 2 frames.

    Balloons tires

Of large tires! Here is another characteristics of the bobbers.

These tires with disproportionate sidewall brings a backpacker look, to dimensions similar to the front and rear are in the DNA of the bobbers.

    The radius rims

Nothing original here, The radius rims are appreciated for most preparations. Note that on a Bobber Bobber, the rims are of preferences of the same size at the front and back.

And of course, in 16 inches, it provides an unstoppable look of "creeping" mechanics.

    The tank

THE reservoir  brings a touch Old School At bobber. They are often small, it reminds us of the fact that they are often bikes for small walks.

Here is a Bobber Bobber tank supplied by Remmotorcycle.com:

We find it on a famous preparation of Zeus Custom (different and less known than Deus Custom) or on Zero Engeneering.

    The low handlebars

Unlike choppers who have high handlebars, those of the bobbers are low, sometimes very low. They are wide and bent, but only slightly exceed the tank or fork.

In general, a flat and curved handlebar is a very popular option for a Bobber Bobber.

    The saddle on springs

The spring saddle is one of the first elements that the preparer has in the desire to install to start the preparation in Bobber Bobber . This is another element common to choppers.

There is a very wide variety of solo stools on the market with various shapes, colors and qualities.

Bobber stools are generally black, sometimes brown, and in the minimalist spirit of the Bobber, simple models are preferred.

The springs are essential for comfort, and must be selected according to your weight, without being too hard. Unfortunate comfort can spoil a pleasant outing in a real nightmare.

Here is the example of a comfortable set offered by Remmotorcycle. A saddle support set, wide springs and hand -shaped saddle.

    The Springer fork

The famous spring fork is the ultimate element of the Bobber Bobber. From standard models of Harley From the 60s and 70s, this type of fork imposes it.

The fork Springer has two small shock absorbers at its top.

      REMMOTORCYCLE Springer fork. Shadow model.

The Springer fork offers a different rigidity and filtration of the classic forks, absorbing small irregularities well without returning jolts.

Nowadays, some Springer forks can be equipped with front disc brakes for more security.

It is thanks to the Springer fork that we distinguish a classic bobber from an ultimate bobber bobber.
