You should know that there are several aesthetic modifications that make a motorcycle a bobber. As we have seen , a bobber has technical characteristics that define it.

Balloon tires

Vintage -looking balloon tires add a touch of bobber style.

Unfortunately, this will impact the handling of the motorcycle. We do not recommend this type of tire for those who ride their Shadow every day or often in the rain.

The reservoir

Saddle

The solo type saddle is one of the essential elements of a bobber.

To install a solo saddle on a Shadow, it is possible to modify the original frame to install the saddle.

Spoke rims

Spoke rims are the rims for use on a bobber. Which is already the case on a Shadow.

The rims used are generally 16 inches. On a Shadow, you can keep the rear rim 15 inches and put a smaller rim in the front.

For this, it is possible to adapt a rim from another model, use a new 16 rim and adapt it or the most appropriate solution is to redo the spokes of the original rim.

The rigid frame

How much does a Shadow Bobber cost?

The price will depend on the basic model used , the modifications made , the parts installed and who does the preparation .

Thus a simple bobber can be made with 3000€ if you acquire a base at 2000€ and you carry out the installation of the parts and the modifications yourself.

A complete model made by a professional preparer can go up to 7000-9000€ (see more, preparations have no limit).

Build your bobber yourself or buy a model already made?

It depends on these desires and these skills, the advantage of making your own bobber is to have a bobber in our image , which we have imagined and which we are proud to make .

The limits of this option are our mechanical skills , the time required and the cost .
